atveriančioji programa statusas T sritis informatika apibrėžtis ↑Programa, kurią iškviečia kita programa tam tikro tipo failui, su kuriuo ji pati negali susidoroti, atverti ir peržiūrėti. Pavyzdžiui, interneto ↑naršyklė gali parsiųsti bet kokio tipo failą, tačiau atverti gali tik kai kurių tipų failus (pvz., grynojo teksto, hiperteksto, dažniau internete naudojamus grafikos failus (GIF, PNG, JPG, JPEG)). Kitų tipų failams apdoroti, pavyzdžiui, garso arba vaizdo, pateikčių, skaičiuoklės lentelių, pati naršyklė neturi priemonių. Tada ji iškviečia kitą šiam tikslui tinkamą programą, kuri šiuo atveju vadinama atveriančiąja programa.
